tiberab has collaborated with Accelrys in adding new important features to Materials Studio 7.0.
In collaboration with the University of Bremen, non-equilibrium Greens function (NEGF) functionality has been implemented in the DFTB+ tool of Materials Studio, enabling the calculation of electron transport. In this way, in Materials Studio it is now possible to calculate transmission and current-voltage curves for a range of molecular electronic devices.
tiberlab signed a contract with Selex SI (former Finmeccanica, now Leonardo) to perform some of the obligations of Nanotechnology Multiscale Project (NMP). The target of NMP is the "Definition & Development of Integrated Methodologies and MultiScale Environments to Study, Design, Develop and Test NanoTechnology based Metamaterials, Devices, Sensors and Systems".
tiberlab task in the project is the development of an integrated software environment ("NanoAmb") able to handle and couple several simulation software tools through input/output interfaces, allowing data and models exchange through them.
